I loved this book! At school, we are having bookclubs and my book was A Wrinkle in Time. The plot of A Wrinkle in Time made no sense at all and was truly horrid, awful and boring. The other bookclub had the book the City of Ember. I deeply envy them since they had such a awesome book. I borrowed this book from the library and I was not at all disappointed. Still, I still wished I had this book as my bookclub book. Now we have to do projects on our book and unfortunately, it has to be on plot. And A Wrinkle in Time's plot makes absolutley no sense at all so I wish even MORE to have had this book as my bookclub book.

This book was much better than the movie - (which I though Bill Murray hammed it up too much - and I usually like BM but wrong actor for this part.) For the book, you really don't know where the heck they are in the beginning (that's all I'll say ;) the 2nd book is also good, the 3rd book you can skip altogether and the 4th book wraps it up nicely.

This is a favourite of mine. It's exciting and surprising. I really enjoyed reading it as an adult.

In my opinion the movie is better than the book which surprised me because that is rarely the case. The fact that the movie did bad in the box office is sad as the sequel will most likely not be made into a movie. The book however still held its own, very intriguing and well-told. The Characters were well developed, the setting very believably written and the entire novel enjoyable.

This book is really good, I don't see how I haven't read it before now. I was in awe when I read the end, it was so amazing. even though It wasn't very long, and te writing was big, I found it was a really good book.

In the City of Ember, lived two young teenagers named Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow. Surronding their city is nothing but total darkness. For 200 years, the citizens of the City of Ember lived in a world of amazing lights. But now, the buildings are crumbling, the supplies are decreasing and worst of all- the lights are starting to go out. When Lina finds an old box whos content may save the city from going to utter darkness, she discusses it with Doon. And unfortunately, as the contents of the box were ancient and that Lina's little sister has chewed on it, there are holes in the paper. The papers seem to be instructions for something..... can it be intructions to save their city?
