Add a CommentThis book was really great...the choice between preserving your own life or creating another-you can't have both-makes people think. What would you choose?
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME BOOK! loved every page!
Imagine a world where kids aren't around to live. A world where they're actually being hunted down and turned into slaves. Now imagine society accepting such a world, because it also supplies them drugs that provide immortality and conquers all diseases. Would you take the drugs and live forever without any children? Or would you opt out and become a social outcast? A story about 2 teens who manage to break free and are on the run...
Add this to your list of thoughtful, action-packed dystopian fiction for teens. Gemma Malley could stand proud alongside Margaret Peterson Haddix, Scott Westerfield, and Lois Lowry. (Book one of a series.)
This book is about a girl named Anna that was born illegally in a different kind of world. In this world, all people can live forever, and children are not needed or allowed. The children that are born are taken away and used to serve the other people. This is 14 year old Anna's life. She has always lived like this and has accepted it until a new boy comes to her, and tells her about her parents. At first, she does not believe him and tries to avoid him, but finally she and the boy decides to help stop this government that is controlling everyone. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes science fiction.
good dystopian lit. have to admit i was a bit shocked that it appears to be a stand alone novel.
This book is amazing! A dystopic novel about a world in which there are no children because humans have figured out how to live forever. Children that are born illegally are taken away and trained to serve their "betters." Anna has come to terms with her place in life as a surplus, but when a mysterious boy shows up and tells her about the parents that love her, her whole world is about to change.
Does anyone know the next book of the series? Doesn't it say by the author thing? I need to know its good and I want to read it...
this book is sooo good... it has suspense and a bit of romance but over all its a great book..even if its not the kind of book you would usually read, like myself, you WILL injoy it!
