A strong follow-up to the maze runner. I liked how you finally start getting some answers about WICKED and what is going on in the wider world. The book moves along at a scorching pace (just like the title, ha ha) but this comes at the expense of character development. For example, I just care less about these people then say in the Hunger Games series or some other YA series.

It was intense! The surprises where never ending and the suspense is maddening. Of course, I thought the plot was as incredible as the first book. My demand for answers shot out of the sky after reading this book. I've grown to like Thomas even more and the other characters too! But as for Teresa and Aris, my feelings are mixed. I can't wait to get the next book so my questions can finally be answered. If anyone of you shanks lend me the Death Cure right now, I will be forever grateful! :D

Soooo good! Not quite as good as the first one (you can't top the mazes puzzles...) but still amazing. Mixed feelings going for Teresa and Brenda, but I'm sooo glad that none of the other main characters really changed. Can't wait to read the third one!!!

James Dashner, you klunk got me again! I've been shunked & gone to heaven! This second book is as gripping as the first, even more. I was left dumbfounded with more questions than ever. Just like Tommy there, i lost my trust in Teresa and to my faith that "WICKED is indeed good". But then come to think if it, perhaps all these happened for a reason; perhaps these are just part if the variables? Like the first, this second installment is sooo unpredictable... I LOVED IT! It kept me guessing and made me long for more, i can't stop turning the pages. I couldn't help make comparisons with real life too. In all our struggles in this world, we sometimes feel betrayed and wounded by loved ones. How we react to these sad experiences creates our story. Are we going to fight the good fight and remain true to what we believe? Or give up & lose hope/faith in life, in love? In the end, i have more questions: Where & what the heck happened to Jorge & Brenda? Is Tom not immune to The Flare? Who else is not immune? Can Teresa be trusted? What's the blueprint, the pattern? What is it for? What is the killzone? Is WICKED really good? What will happen next?! Only one way to find out...On to the third book--The Death Cure!
