Add a SummaryWhere do I start the book was AWESOME! I loved loved loved loved when Tris and Four were having their little Love scenes I also loved the way the author made the book so ADVENTUROUS, I just totally LOVED it
Divergent is one novel that had me jumping out of my seat, biting my nails to the quick as I was drawn into Beatrice's world, cheering her on one minute, and wanting to cry with her the next. Before Choosing Day, where each sixteen year old will decide which faction they wish to devote their life to, is a simulated aptitude test that will tell Beatrice which faction she would fit in most with...but for her life will never be simple. Instead of having just one of these traits as is normal, Beatrice possesses at least three, which makes her a dangerous person for reasons she doesn't understand, and answers are not forthcoming as she has to keep this information to herself or risk being killed. She chooses a different faction then the one she was raised in. She does have her moments where she seems a little cold like when she wishes one boy would stop sniveling, and you see why Abnegation didn't suit her. But then the next minute she is putting herself in danger for someone else, and you understand why she has a bit of a split personality. She's been born into a society that believes you can only have one quality, and she has to figure out on her own that being brave doesn’t mean that she has to give up being selfless as well. As she fights to stay in the competition, for only ten initiates will be able to call their new faction family, I couldn't help but root for her. Beatrice has a lot to learn, but it's through obstacles and the friendship's she makes that she ultimately finds herself.

so cool. Tobias and Tris are sooooo sweet. Just loved everything about the book. I'm definitly going to read the second book. Soooo excited for the movie!!!!! : )
eh. I didn't really like it. But then again, I'm not big on dytospian societies and romances. To each their own.

An excellent read, with great new ideas. This book kept me captivated from beginning to end, with many new surprises. One of the best parts would be seeing the change in Tris, who turns into a strong and determined heroine that readers will admire. The Dauntless seem very bloody and harsh most times, but the romance between Four and Tris develops with none of the cruelty that they constantly live within, making it perfect in this story. This story is great, and even though there are times where the cruelty of the world they live in is too much, this book has an exciting plot and characters that will keep readers hooked until the end.

This is like the hunger games and harry potter mixed together!!!! If you're putting this book on hold you should ask you're friends if they have the copy instead of waiting for 292 people to finish this book....Except it won't be a very long wait Iread this book in 1 night, because it was so good.
