The worst Pronzini ever. The story is insipid. There is no MYSTERY anywhere in this book. Most of the 300 pages are nothing more than verbosity of no real interest to the story. 25 pages would have been enough to get through this…

A sure bet for a decent read; after all, Prinzini has published over 3 dozens of books. There were too much minor details that were of no consequences (such as to recharge the cell phone one day but no mention of the act days afterwards)…

Bill Pronzini's "nameless detective" books are always worth reading (even though he's no longer nameless) - but this was not my favorite in the series.
