Spent this entire book just so deeply irritated about how none of the involved parties had gone or would go to the police. We could have saved so many trees from getting turned into this book if one of the characters would've just been like "hey, this situation sucks, I'm filing a police report." and called it a day right then and there.
Initially intrigued, but in the first chapter became bored to tears by the endless inventory of "missing" items (..in the living room-his flat screen tv was gone! ...in the bathroom his toothbrush was gone! ...even his trash was gone! YAWN). Skipped to the end and glad I didn't spend anymore time on this.
Just finished reading "Gone without a Trace" and have ordered " The Girl I used to be" from my local library. This new author, Mary Torjussen is someone I will be following and look forward to reading many more of her books!
Quite an interesting book. I just picked up a book to read while waiting to gas up at COSCO.
It turned out to be quite an interesting book. At first I was confused. Then as I read more I
realized how the narrative was evolving into a thrilling and suspenseful story. The author certainly knows how to pace a story. Hope to read another one one of her books.
