Debut by Björk has to be one of the most fun and experimental albums I have ever listened to. Each track from Debut left me infected with an odd alien-like energy that made me want to get up and dance to the trance inducing music. Track 3 is beautiful and gives a feeling of eternal bliss, which is why I would have to say it is my favourite song off of Debut. Björk’s impish voice adds to the fun experience that is Debut, and the album brilliantly showcases her vocal range. Debut is timeless and would definitely get away with being released today. I rate Debut 4.5/5 stars.

An unusual set of songs: somewhat pop, somewhat dance, quite surprising, but not always in a delightful way. I found tracks 4, 5, and 11 to be awful, and 1, 3, 6, and 10 to be interesting and catchy.
Bjork is weird. I know it, you know it, and, honestly, Bjork knows it. But she clearly isn't apologizing for it and that's where the magic happens. This album came out in 1993 but it's so modern and cool that it could have been released yesterday and no one would be the wiser.
