Little Mac is back in this new reboot of the old, classic punch-out game. The game has you follow Little Mac, a new, professional boxer, as he tries to take down champions and eventually become the number one boxer. The graphics for the game are pretty good, they have a very shiny aesthetic for the character models and it overall has a very cartoony look to it, which fits in my opinion. Their isn't really a story, you just go from one boxer to the next as you climb your way up the ranks, Little Mac doesn't actually say anything in the game either, so if you're looking for a story in this game, you're not getting one. The gameplay is where it is really at, I love the boxing in this game, it's so simple and yet so rewarding. All the different characters has their own quirks and tells, some are fast and quick, while some deliver devastating punch combos that leave them winded and vulnerable for a short period of time. Punch-Out for the Wii is a really fun and simple game, if you liked the older Punch-Out games, then I think you'll be entertained by this new installment. This game is outstanding by its own rights. I suggest not using the gimmicky motion controls. There are a lot of complaints of graphics in this, but it graphics don't make a game good. As for the racial problems I'll give you this link to a good video that explains the issue thoroughly

P.S. the CD doesn't work.

not bad game play, good nostalgia for the 80's nintendo classic. I could have done without the racially stereotypical dazed stars around the boxers (sushi for Japanese, croissants for French, fish for Canadian woodsman, etc...) but on the whole not that bad of a game. Good range of difficulty. Not a game that you can do everything in a week without cheat codes but for a long term game not that bad.

This would be a great game if the controls were better. Try using the wii remote with this game and not having it move when you don't want it to. The classic controller should have been used for this classic game.
