I found this book a bit disappointing. I changed my diet recently and got better skin and a leaner, younger look from following a diet close to the one in Kris Carr's "Crazy Sexy Diet." Wu's book advocates a diet more like what I ate BEFORE I changed things up. I know there's lots of debate about nutrition issues--some people advocate eating animal products and cooked food and oats and wheat, others going totally gluten-free, vegan and raw--and I have no training to go into the medical issues and no leg to stand on on the ethical issues.

BUT, if you simply want beautiful skin and a lithe body in less than a month, eat 80% to 100% raw, high alkaline, zero gluten, zero wheat, zero sugar, no booze, 100% organic (and not Wholefoods "organic", more like Integral Yoga organic, checking to make sure there's no processed anything in any of your food.)
I'm a foodie, and I'm not saying everyone always has to get that radical. Lots of times I choose delicious foods over looking my very best! But a book giving you a short-term plan for looking your very best through diet should provide the best diet for truly glowing, luminous skin. I love dairy and I see how all the great probiotics in yogurt make it a "superfood"--but going from eating whole grains, organic salmon, organic probiotic yogurt to raw vegan made a super-radical difference in my skin. It glowed!

Jessica Wu's diet will not make you look lovelier as fast as a diet like Kris Carr's. And the book is a lot less inspiring and entertaining. I recommend Carr's "Crazy Sexy Diet," "The Raw Revolution Diet" (by Cherie Soria, Brenda Davis, Vesanto Melina) and "Eating for Beauty" by David Wolfe over this book.

Its a nice book but might look at many times like Dr.Wu is overly praising herself! Talks of sensible eating...no magic here...the usual more fruits/veggies/grains routine.
