well told story of a black woman who succeeds in the world of opera despite much adversity during her years at the University of Texas, and is later honoured in the same state legislature that censured her years ealier.

This documentary records the life and times, if you will, of Barbara Conrad Smith, the lady who was removed from the lead role of an Opera while a student at the University of Texas.

I really enjoyed it.
