Series was excellent - just finished it ; kept me interested. got into the theme. My hope is that this series is continued as it was some of the most interesting reading I have done since Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hob.

- I never read Chimera, but I just couldn't get into this book.
- I thought it would get better as I read on, but it never did.
- I stop reading it at around page 60 something.
- for me, this book bites & it's why I only gave it 1/2 a star.

I very much enjoyed Chimera, the prequel to this book, but found the sequel somewhat lacking. Told primarily from Michael's point of view, Thurman's sarcastic style and sense of humour doesn't seem to work as well for his character as it did for Stefan. I also felt that the book lacked the freshness and originality of the first one.
Loved the interaction between the brothers and, over all, still a good read, but just a little disappointing.
