This is the best guide I've ever seen to seed-saving, written by two university horticulturists. It can be quite technical, so the glossary at the back is useful.

Interesting. Plenty of details about when and how to collect the seeds and how long you can store them while they remain viable. I do wonder, though, why anyone would want to collect the seeds of the few included that are usually propagated by division -- much easier than collecting, cleaning, storing, and replanting.
