We live in a mercenary age. Wistful pining for civility and second chances won't bring back bygone days. Main Street is a dollop of pablum.

Appealing portrayal of ordinary people trying best to live their lives.

Some points on both sides of a complex issue, but, in the end, unfairly weighted. Not much in the way of acting.

One of the few movies we could not watch to the end. Waited for over an hour for anything interesting to happen - dull and boring. What a waste of a fine group of actors.

Not really worth watching; overly dramatic, ridiculous story lines and even Colin - speaking American - couldn't make up for it.

In the end I thought I was watching the pilot of a series. I liked the story line and the interaction of the characters (although some of the acting was poor). However the ending was terrible and left you with whole lot of questions. Answering those questions could have made for a good series.

An all-star cast for a good movie. Not a fast paced story, but good character development.

Managed about 10 minutes. Sucks.

Skip It – Despite some heavy hitters at bat (Colin Firth, Ellen Burstyn, Patricia Clarkson, Orlando Bloom), the film is an example of a story that goes nowhere. The plot is uninteresting, the British actors appear foreign in their southern drawl and nothing happens to suggest that this should’ve been filmed. Keep this one on the shelf – there are plenty of good films out there especially since OPL started purchasing some old gems (e.g. Born Yesterday).
