GREAT WESTERN

This DVD movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. Not too bad---good performance. Very predictable but still entertaining.

Good Western with beautiful landscape shots although quite sad at times.

This movie does not even deserve the 6.5 IMDB rating. Thin and uninteresting plot, ludicrous dialogue, laughable love scenes, and etc. On a scale A to F, I give it a D-

There is some DNA evidence that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were not the bodies buried with their names. So this movie imagines that Butch laid low for 20 years until becoming an older man played by Sam Shepherd and he had a few adventures left in him. Stephen Rea plays a small part as a somewhat retired Pinkerton that crosses his path. Interesting to see what Shepard can do in a feature film where his character is prominent. I gave the movie an extra star because I had to look up Google Maps to see if we were being shown the real landscape of Bolivia.

Fairly entertaining. Westerns about elderly gunman are not very interesting.
