Manchester, northern England? Considered Mid-lands. Like York & northwards.

We love this series and am glad to watch this final season, but found that some of the episodes where uncharacteristically just not as good and much to far fetched for our tastes. I like that one sin can destroy a mountain of good, but when they add a happy ending out of the blue, it loses me. The final episode was wonderful.

I respect what Froster said regarding this series, however (and i'm sure i'm biased as i love Jimmy McGovern as well as most of the actors in this series) I found season three to be just as awesome as the first two. It ties everything up well, although i will admit a bit too unrealistic for my taste. But i also think the good weighs out the bad in this show.

I love this series about a working class neighborhood in Manchester, England. The cast features some of the best British actors and changes with each episode although some of the characters reappear. The scripts and actors are amazing. As with most series, some episodes are better than others, but all are excellent. Highly recommended, however if you have trouble with regional dialects, there are no subtitles.
