A modern day spin on the tale of the Tortoise and the Hare, this full-colour picture book tells the story of a harried young, diminutive boy who discovers that size doesn't really matter when you have a whole lot of determination. He learns he can even ignore the bullies who call him 'shrimp'. A new twist on a classic tale about overcoming hardship.

We gave the book Jojo the Giant 4 stars because the pictures were really detailed and the writing allowed us to visualize lots of things to see, hear, smell, taste and feel.

Ms. M's class liked this book because it taught us a lesson about
being confident and standing up for what you think or believe in. It teaches
us that you don't have to be big to be good at something. What matters is
what's inside, not what you look like. Jojo beat the bullies by winning
the race.

What a heartwarming and inspiring read...Believe in yourself and you never know what may happen!
Also great depiction of the love between a son and his mom, all in all, very lovely!
