Nicolas Eymerich, Inquisitor tells three interwoven stories. The first, and most important, is the story of the appointment of the friar Dominican Nicolas (or Nicolau) Eymerich to Inquisitor General of the Kingdom of Aragon , in the middle of the fourteenth century ; Eymerich, that machine tirelessly to achieve a final ratification of their appointment, must investigate a mysterious sect of neo-pagan worshipers of the goddess Diana , infiltrated the Aragonese court of Zaragoza . The other plots are the history of physical Frullifer Marcus, who devise a scientific theory can explain the paranormal phenomena and at the same time to allow interstellar travel , and the other set two hundred years in the future, the journey of the ' spaceship 'Malpertuis " towards a planet forgotten where they still manifest the goddess Diana. The three stories are linked together: the discoveries of Frullifer in the early twenty-first century to allow the journey of "Malpertuis" and the end of that trip coincides with the defeat of the pagan sect by Eymerich (because the journey through space spaceship coincides with a journey back in time ).
