Through extensive, exclusive interviews with Eastwood (and the friends and colleagues of a lifetime), Time magazine film critic Richard Schickel has penetrated a complex character who has always been understood too quickly, too superficially. either the writer was boring or eastwood's life is boring. I skimmed whole sections and think that the author has treated his relationship with women in his life very kindly
