BITTER AT FIRST BITE Corazon Ferreira is one heck of a jaded woman. Not only did her husband dump her for a pretty, vivacious blonde, but her sister lost her mind and married a vampire. Worse, it turns out the Cora herself was a vampire's mate in a past life-a murderous vampire named Alec Darwin. If Cora hadn't inadvertently been caught up in the ill-laid plans of a reanimated corpse and its master, she could deal with this distractingly gorgeous vampire. But no one other than Alec stands between her and those who threaten her existence, and there's only so much temptation a woman can bear before she starts taking her heart as seriously as her head . . . Not my favourite book, but an enjoyable one nonetheless. Cora's personality could be a little over-the-top at times but you just can't help but love her unrelenting loyalty when it comes to the man she loves. Alec himself was protective and possessive, both traits I like in my heroes. This was a cute and funny read with the hypnosis induced reincarnation dream at the beginning of the novel having me laugh out loud.
