I wish to start this off by saying that I am a World of Warcraft player, and an Alliance player at that, so you know my biases right off the bat.

Wolfheart is a good book. There are two overarching storylines: the Night Elf centric attempt to find a murderer, and the Human and Worgen centric learning to cope with internal rage and loss of control.

Personally, I'm not really a fan of Knaak's works. His writing style is not one that I prefer, and in my opinion, his writing of Elves leaves something to be desired (a sentiment that seems to be quite common from those I've spoken to). However, the way that he writes the Humans and Worgen in this book is wonderful. This is also the book that caused Varian to not be so violent and aggressive, story wise and later in game, so I appreciate it for that.
(I also might like this book a bit more because of the fact that it involves Anduin, who is my favourite character.)

I'd say, if you're a fan of the series, go into this book knowing that it's Knaak writing it. If you're not, and just wanting a good fantasy novel, feel free to enjoy without any remorse.
