In 1959, an innocent man, Timothy Evans, is charged with the gruesome slaying of his wife and baby. Convicted by the testimony of his landlord, John Christie, a mild-mannered ex-policeman, Evans is sentenced to hang. However, after the execution, evidence reveals that the real psychotic killer is continuing his mass murder spree. Public outcry over this true case led to Great Britain's abolishment of the death penalty.

This is a 1971 British crime drama directed by Richard Fleischer, based on a true story.
It is one of the most disgusting and horrible crime movies I've ever seen in my life.
The performances of Richard Attenborough and John Hurt are so superb that both of them look like real "serial killer and fall guy."
It is amazing and mind-boggling to know that the real serial killer fooled everybody.
You'll be able to find out how he did it.

A creepy little tale that just happens to be true. Both Richard Attenborough and John Hurt are very good in their portrayals of the main characters in the story.
