The clock is ticking for Jana, a fading B-movie actress who is nearing 40. Can she continue to put up with a sleazy boss at the nightclub where she works, should she go with a man who tempts her down a dark path, or will the producer finally give her the big break that he has promised? Despite efforts to live clean, Jana is overcome by the burden of a dream, in a business that seems to punish virtue more than vice.

The main actors, esp. Jana character, did very well in this movie..One can really feel for Jana and her friend, trying to make it in a difficult intustry of acting and other arts! ..The story was promising..Yet, over-all, the movie was disappointing.. It did have some well-known actors.. Still, they couldn't make up for the lack of polish, perhaps, a better story.. more money, more time to make the movie.. I don't know, except it could have been much better! Not a movie to recommend, unless it can serve as a lesson.. There are dreams in life, such as becoming an actress, no matter how hard one works at it, is just not going to work out, no matter what one does! Luck is often a necessary ingredient..

Story of a 40-yr old B-film actress trying to find meaningful work in Hollywood. Thing is, you don't really care about all the characters in the film as they are not really likeable people. A passable film.

I enjoyed this video. You have to feel for the main character as she tries to maintain her dignity in a vicious and often cruel profession. She manages to stir up your emotions and have you feeling for her as she is continually knocked down, but keeps her game face on.

A B-movie about a B-movie actress. Since we're using letters here, I might as well continue with it. C for a "cliched" story line . D for disappointing script. E for exaggerated acting. Reminds me though of "Sunset Boulevard" for that desperate attempt to make it big in the film capital although in that Gloria Swanson vehicle, the story is making a comeback but failed.
