Joanna Lumley stars as Donna Sinclair, an actress desperately clinging to her fading career. On her sleazy daytime soap, Sinclair plays the competent and compassionate Dr. Willoughby. Off-screen, Sinclair is a holy terror - conniving, vain, and utterly insincere.

Joanna Lumley of Absolutely Fabulous fame takes on another role that is not far removed from her Patsy Stone character. On air Donna Sinclair plays a compassionate doctor. Off screen her persona is the complete opposite and the terror of her other cast and crew. Donna is a watered down version of Patsy, but the sting is still there. The writing is pretty funny though the plots, as is typical of Britcoms, stretch believability. The show only ran for 6 episodes, so the DVD isn't much of a time commitment, so if you like AbFab, this should be seen.
