Earl Keese is a slightly overweight, fairly average guy who is approaching middle age. He leads a reasonably comfortable life with his family in their suburban home until the house next door is bought by a truly odd couple, Vic and Ramona, who quickly proceed to drive Earl crazy. Vic's lunatic behavior has Earl running in circles while Ramona's coarse seductiveness leaves him panting. In short, Earl's tranquil life is suddenly turned upside down. (Newly remastered)

This overlooked gem, Belushi's final film, is a quite funny black comedy that also features, imho, Dan Ackroyd's best moments on film. I'm not gonna give it away but just roll with it, It;s funny stuff. Also, Cathy Moriarty!

There is a very interesting backstory to the making of this film. Check the wikipedia article and IMDB to learn more. Amazing thing is that it could have been better.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion of course. However, I found this movie to be extremely unique and very funny! Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi are in rare form and play their selected parts exquisitely! It was so awesome to see Belushi playing straight laced middle aged suburbanite, Earl to Aykroyd's insane lunatic Vic. This movie is not only a cult classic but a must see for ANY Belushi/Aykroyd fan. I guess from reviewing the 2 comments available that it takes a certain type of sense of humor to get this movie. If you are not an open minded and flexible viewer, you may be let down. But give it a chance and make up your own mind. I own this movie in my personal library. I personally love it!
