I'm already a Rick Remender thanks to Black Science (if you like scifi and aren't reading this... change that!) but I have to say I really enjoy this X-Factor team and their "new" look.
The story line isn't all that original but the roster and art by Joerome Opeña make up for it.
Collecting UNCANNY X-FORCE #1-4, and material from WOLVERINE: ROAD TO HELL and ALL-NEW WOLVERINE SAGA.
Requires some background knowledge of the Marvel Universe in order to get the motive of each character. The artwork and the writing are top notch here. Each character is giving enough screen time for it to be enjoyable. A good read
Hard to get into; on the one hand, Remender's a good writer. On the other hand, the subject matter and the premise of the team itself is so relentlessy nihilistic that it's difficult to enjoy.
Pretty good. (Even though that may have been because of the other garbage I had just read.) Very violent, but it was conscious of it. These characters are dealing with the violence, instead of just being numb to it.
Story felt a bit padded and the artwork made my eyes hurt.
