Jason Stafford is a former Wall Street hotshot who made some bad moves, paid the price with two years in prison, and is now trying to put his life back together. He's unemployable, until an investment firm asks him to look into possible problems left by a junior trader who died recently in an accident. What he discovers is big-- there are problems, all right, the kind that get you killed.

Never has Wall Street been so intriguing! i really enjoyed this debut novel and look forward to the next in the series. It can be read strictly on the level of a fast-paced thriller, but it is also thoughtful. The problems of parenting an autistic child are very well detailed and there is some reflection on the nature of redemption.

A light but suspenseful story that really has two story lines. The first being that the main character Jason has been charged with securities fraud and been sentenced to jail. The second story line is when he is released and needs to establish a relationship with his autistic son. I really enjoyed this.

Good, fast paced read, although a little heavy on financial market details and language. Unlikely collaboration of a recently imprisoned money guy and authorities. Interesting backstory of romance and reestablishing a relationship with his autistic son.

There are some likes and dislikes with this story. The dislikes contribute to frustration and the urge to get on with it from this reader. At least some of the ending provides a measure of redemption. 5 of 10 stars.

Michael sears has a hit with his first
novel, it's fast moving, exciting and enjoyable. It's also a heart warming
story, well told! I'm looking forward
to Sears next one.

I loved this book once I got past all the wall street stuff. This was just the first chapter or so. Then it became very interesting; a real page turner. I recommend this to everyone.

I really enjoyed this book. The plot moves along at a steady pace, the characters are interesting and the investment investigation is intriguing.
