This true story, written by the Executive Producer of Tyler Perry's first national tour, "I Know I've Been Changed", chronicles the many trials and tribulations that came along with introducing Tyler Perry to the world, as it actually happened. This book provides an insightful first-hand account of how Tyler Perry went from playing shows in country churches to becoming one of the most successful entertainers in Black America. "Never Would Have Made It" gives you a glimpse into the lives of the many people who sacrificed to establish a platform for this 21st century entertainment mogul; it also provides answers to many unanswered questions and tells the stories of the never talked about treachery and double dealing that came along with the success. But most importantly, it offers each of us the opportunity to look, with pride, at how the support of one community has elevated this artist to heights never before seen. Book jacket.

I picked this up thinking that it was about how Tyler Perry got started, come to find out its written from a bitter, ex-promotion manager. Poorly written with several typo's.
