You will fall in love with the main character Mindy Lahiri. She is absolutely ridiculously funny and charming. There is a great dynamic between increasingly silly characters. Each season just gets better!

I cannot express how much I loved the first season of this show! Throughout, the viewers were engaged and couldn’t possibly let their eyes stray from the screen. To add to the magic, Mindy Kaling plays the part of a possibly too social OB/GYN perfectly. The sassiness that she adds to the show really spices things up. But what would a sassy OB/GYN be without the complete opposite personality? Meet Danny, who, for the longest time, seems nearly too realistic. But as time goes on, the viewers learn to love his grumpiness, just as they learn to love the sassiness. Mindy’s constant and unwavering love for romantic comedies creates an instant relationship with many viewers that watch her. They, like I, also love romantic comedies and to see Mindy’s love life almost play out like one is too good to be true! Mindy Kaling seems to fit the part of Mindy Lahiri perfectly. It’s almost like she’s calling out to the viewer, to go grab some popcorn and chocolate and settle down on the couch. I couldn’t have asked for a better show to relate to! @thesoundofcolours of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

One of the best shows I’ve watched in a long time. I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for a female led comedy that actually broke some kind of ground! Mindy is dramatic, hopelessly romantic, shamelessly herself and absolutely hilarious. It is so amazing to see someone in a show who does not look like every other actor/actress you’ve ever seen. She proves it’s perfectly okay to be girly and lovable and fun while also being an amazing doctor. Not the best season but it definitely gets better after the first few episodes and next seasons are much, much better. The plot is a bit strange at the end but it all clears up the next season as well. A must watch! Rating 4/5.

Very silly but enjoyable. Great series to watch at home after a long day of work.

I agree, show is funny, but unfortunately has no value, Mindy's personality is far from a doctor's character, let alone a person who has grown up with much care and great culture to become a doctor.
it's disturbing to think how she could add value and culture to this show, but has picked such light subjects, and how poor this fake character's standards and choices are. This does not make sense.

one more thing: Mindy's personal custom designer should be fired.

This is for younger adults, not past age 25. The main character talks too fast, and mumbles and is just not funny in the least. Could not care about her and this is just a total waste of time/life.

Lucille Ball and Buster Keaton would be proud. This is a fearless show. I can't wait until season two comes out on dvd. Must watch!!
