After reading a slew of health-related books, I was not as interested in this initially as I should have been. But once I started reading it... Wow. It is very opinionated, so I have taken nuggets of what I think are beneficial and things I have not heard of before and have started implementing them. First, is the intermittent fasting. It isn't just not eating, it is a test of discipline and also it help activate the fat stores in your body to lose weight and cleanse your system. I am also going to try the Active Isolated Stretching and I am going to work on the grounding and water methods he spoke of. Many of the food related things conflict with most of the other books I have read. When I face these sorts of outlier-ish issues, I find it is best to take the middle ground. The truth about beans for example is somewhere in the middle. They are high in fat, but they are also high in protein. When eaten in moderation, they are beneficial, but they shouldn't replace a rounded diet of vegetables like broccoli, kale, and sprouts (and other green veggies).

It is a good book to get started with and also a great book to challenge what you already know about health and wellness.

I'm afraid the author is a modern snake-oil salesman.

New and different info, he is not afraid to endorse nontraditional lifestyle changes that can positively affect your health. How to tell if your supplements really have appropriate ingredients in them? He has a resources. This among many bits of info make a very well rounded book for your library. Not just a eat this-not that fad diet.
