This is an excellent book!
I have seen many interviews with both of this books authors, and admire them both.
Although Dr. Thomas is himself a pediatrician, he distinguishes himself from most peds by his deep knowledge of the scientific literature. That is a rarity of most peds, who merely implement the recommendations of the CDC -- a profoundly compromised group who appears more motivated by pharmaceutical company profits than evidenced-based public health.
Thomas will tell you WHICH vaccines he thinks make sense, and which ones have more harms than benefits for most children.
As his co-author points out --- antibiotics have been life saving, but we don't call those who advocate their SELECTIVE use as "anti-antibiotics." Likewise, one size does not fit all with vaccines, which the Supreme Court has ruled are "Unavoidably Unsafe."
Of note -- Dr. Thomas had typical numbers of children being diagnosed with autism in his practice...UNTIL he eliminated some vaccines, and now he has not had a single new case of autism develop in any of his patients!

This book is excellent!

For parents who have some concerns about the current vaccine schedule -- and want to know which vaccines have the best benefit to risk ratio this book is for you.
Pediatrician Dr Paul Thomas, has thousands of children in his practice, and after reviewing the science carefully, has been recommending a slightly modified version of the CDC schedule and has not a single case of autism in the children vaccinated on his modified schedule.
Here is a doctor who has given up the enormous economic incentives that drive other pediatricians to fear monger and threaten parents who just aren't comfortable following the CDC schedule. He is the type of doctor that concerned well-educated parents wish they too could have, and he not only talks about vaccines in this book but also gives a lot of additional advice about how to keep your child healthy.
