Add a CommentA very well done movie. I liked that it did not have a courtroom scene, instead it focused on the people. I really liked the personalities portrayed by these actors. Actress Ruth Nagga is Ethiopian. I like Joel Edgerton with brown hair. Blonde doesn't suit him. Based on a true event.
even though i love multi-racial love interests this movie was boring. and sad.
Of all the time in my life that I've wasted, watching this movie has been the most confusing as to how I let it happen. It's like shoving a car down the street with your nose and wondering "Why am I doing this"! Getting the law changed so that any human being of any color can get married is noble. Getting there, thru this movie, has been hell. Watching a worm crawl through dirt is more entertaining.

Powerful & gripping performances centering around the unassuming & humble Lovings, rural working class Virginians who took on the U.S. anti-miscegenation laws banning interracial marriage. Their case went all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court and changed the entire country.
Fantastic movie about real people. You can't help but love these characters and be drawn into their lives. Great story-telling!
Difficult to put myself in their shoes, but it must have been a very scary time for interracial relationships.
Good film, a bit on the slow side. I expected more passion from the leads.
A movie based on a true story...which is awesome...BUT the actress is someone who is half white of Irish descent... she looks mostly caucasian...which threw me off...
jhaven't seen yet unfortunately. Didn't have time to view it in 3 wks.
