It's Christmas Eve at JFK in NYC. Charlotte is a British student, waiting for a flight home after the worst semester of her life. Anthony is a native New Yorker, surprising his girlfriend at the airport after three months apart. Charlotte has just been dumped, and Anthony is about to be dumped, right in the middle of the holiday crowd. Charlotte's flight is canceled when a blizzard blows in, and Anthony can't bear to go home. So, they set out into the city together, clutching a book Charlotte picks up in the airport gift shop: Ten Easy Steps for Getting Over Your Ex. For this one night, they'll focus on healing their broken hearts... together. Step-by-step, the two struggle to put the past behind them. But the snow is so enchanting, and the holiday lights are so beguiling, that soon their shared misery gives way to something else. Soon, they're not only over their exes -- they're falling for each other. Then a subway ride splits them up by mistake. Will they reunite before Charlotte's flight leaves New York forever? Part Before Sunrise, part Sleepless in Seattle, this delightful story will appeal to anyone who sees the romance in a swirl of snowflakes at the top of the Empire State Building, or anyone who's wondered if true love was waiting at the other end of the airport ticket counter.

This book is definitely a guilty pleasure read. While the plot of this story is completely unbelievable, it's far to sweet to hate! There is definitely character development in both of our protagonists, and I love watching their relationship unfold as they realize that they are stronger than their exes. For anyone needing a cozy holiday read, this is definitely at the top of my list!

I wasn't sure what kind of story I was getting myself into when I picked up Kiss Me in New York. I assumed it would be a stereotypical teen romance novel, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself laughing while reading the book. The story focuses on a girl from England who's flight was canceled on Christmas Eve and a guy who is local to New York who doesn't want to go back home for the holiday for several reasons. The two are suffering from recent breakups and decide to try and heal their hearts while following step by step book on how to get over a breakup. There was a lot of comedy in the story and although there wasn't a deep overlying comment on society or relationships I thoroughly enjoyed myself with this quick read.

I did the review for the book “Kiss Me in New York”. The title can definitely be changed, as even before I started the book I knew the boy and girl would be together in the end. Usually, a title should keep the readers trying to figure out what’s going to happen until the end. But I already knew due to the title. Now the summary- this book is about a girl who gets stuck at the airport as she was returning home after the worst breakup ever. She meets a guy who just got dumped. They start on a journey of recovering by exploring the city together. I liked the humor in this book as it wasn’t made sad or depressing, it was a book for light reading and quite humorous. What I disliked was the starting wasn’t something that would keep a busy person reading till the end. There was a lot of foreshadowing as the chemistry between the couple was increasing hour by hour. The setting was very romantic and created the perfect mood for this story. The conflict was understandable in this story as that is what newly single people deal with. This book is perfect for someone interested in books with happy endings, someone who believes in true love or just wants to find out if it’s possible to find love anytime and anywhere. I would definitely recommend this book to them. - M.G.

As the holidays grow near, reading books like this is like savoring my favorite cookie. They are sweet, but they also evoke the feelings of the holidays and give us the warm fuzzies, which is welcome as the days grow colder.

Charlotte and Anthony have both been dumped and they serendipitously meet at JFK. Charlotte is dismayed at the prospect of a night alone in a random hotel room while she waits for her flight back to London. Anthony is reluctant to join his family for reasons we find out later in the book. They decide to follow the advice of a self-help book and forget their exes. A night of adventures ensues and NYC becomes a main character in the story.

I picked up this ARC mostly due to the plot occurring in NYC at Christmas. It did not disappoint. A big thanks for the opportunity to read this digital copy in exchange for an honest review.
