Add a CommentAwesome plot! Erica Hale is clever!
Thirteen-year-old Benjamin Ripley’s had a lot of success on the field so far. As a student of the CIA Academy of Espionage, he’s prevented bad guys from carrying out evil schemes, discovered moles, infiltrated enemy headquarters, and has even captured enemy agents. But on every one of those missions, he’s always had help from his friends, fellow spies-in-training, and senior agents. Now, he’s on a solo mission to infiltrate the White House and stop a SPYDER operative from attempting a presidential assassination. And when everything goes wrong, Ben must count on his friends to save him. Unfortunately, even friends can double-cross and lean to the enemy side.
Similar to Donna Freita’s Body Market, Ben must learn to survive on his own. With his friends fed the wrong intel, he must depend on his own wits to find the real bad guys and clear his name. “‘We have reliable intel that SPYDER is planning to assassinate the president.’ I sat up in my seat, worried for the president; if any organization could determine how to get around all his security and take him out, it was SPYDER.” His mission is much more difficult and dangerous than it seems. The plotlines and structures of the story were also very well developed. There are twists just when we believe the mystery is solved. Ben’s emotions and thoughts are heartfelt, and the humor of him trying to turn into a super-spy is delightful. I recommend this book for anyone who loves a good mystery and adventure.

This is just a lighthearted fun J mystery series, with a lot of humor thrown in. A great read for anyone who wants some light secret service fun and mayham.
A brilliant book with good twist and turns. Gibbs provides with a good YA mystery. Based in white house, this is just brilliant. Good character choice and brilliant..... A recommended book for all.
~BOOK REVIEW~ JUNE 20TH 2019 THURSDAY (3:47 P.M)
In this book, Ben receives an exciting mission. At least, he thought it wouldn't be the kind of "thriller" in Erica's eyes. For one, he thought meeting the president was, well, fun. That is, until someone planted a bomb on him to assassinate the president. Well, how was he to know who did it, who was behind the carefully plotted assassination, and who ruined everything?
Ben works hard to figure it out, with code messages from Erica. He would have liked to enjoy time at the White House, but, like all his other missions with famous monuments (or not), it was not one of those "sit-down-and-relax moments". It was more of "I'll-never-think-of-this-place-the-same-way-again...-and-I-better-run! moments".
There were a lot of things that could have completely destroyed Ben's mission. I would recommend this book to everyone who is a fan of spy novels. This book is action-packed, and Stuart Gibbs always hooks you in at the end. If you enjoy adventure scenes, (and mystery), this is a practical book for you.
