"Frankie Vega is angry. Just ask the guy whose nose she broke. Or the cop investigating the burglary she witnessed, or her cheating ex-boyfriend, or her aunt who's tired of giving second chances. When a kid shows up claiming to be Frankie's half brother, it opens the door to a past she doesn't want to remember. And when that kid goes missing, the only person willing to help is a boy with stupidly blue eyes, a criminal record, and secrets of his own. Frankie's search for the truth could change her life, or cost her everything"-- Provided by publisher.

"The coming of age story was both humorous and relatable. The story contained everything a young adult book needs, a little action, a lot of drama, a sarcastic joke or two, a relatable main character, and of course an attractive romance. I'd have to say one of the better aspects, that may at first be underappreciated, was getting a bit of insight to the "school bully" character. Plozza's interpretation of the teenage mind is impeccable and entertaining. The level of teenage angst was top notch. I enjoyed falling in with Frankie as she grew emotionally and that she, as any teenager, managed to have at least half-figured out her life. I found myself thinking about why I hold onto any anger that I do, but then I remembered, I'm 17 and I'm allowed to be angsty at least until I graduate. Frankie, in a bit of an exaggerated way, represented candidly what many of us teenagers are like behind all the false pretenses. We are really just a bunch of mini adults that are angry, sad, and scared. We take life instant for instant and try to find people that understand what we are going though. I think that this is a book that every high schooler should read. Frankly, pun intended, parents ought to read this as well." - Emmaline
