If you're familiar with modern musical theater at all, this guy's face might be familiar. Leslie Odom, Jr. of Hamilton fame has been working hard in the entertainment industry for quite some time, and this very quick, very readable book tells stories of his younger life, his modern life, and the steps he's taken to get where he is (which is a combination of hard work, self-realization, and honestly, luck). You can hear the dulcet tones of his voice even if you're reading in print, and the snippets of wisdom he throws out almost randomly are the kind that stick with you, no matter at what part of your life, career, or goal-setting you might be. Once you've started, prepare to just sit and read for the next couple of hours, because you won't want to stop.

An inspiring collection of stories of Odom’s early life, auditions and goals achieved. Filled with encouraging words - not just for aspiring performers, but to anyone reaching for a dream.
