This is an excellent series for seasons 1&2. After that the dark humor is definitely toned down and, while still interesting, lost a lot of appeal for me. Season 3, 4 and 5 are full of screaming and bitterness as well as the inability to lose the character of Lisa, who seems to glom on like a bad penny. I'd suggest either stopping after season 2 or going straight to season 5, episode 10 and finishing out the series.
The end makes you want to cry even if you didn't enjoy the series. Im so glad this is over.
Michael C. Hall deserved an Emmy for his performance.
After completing the Dexter series and falling in love with Michael C. Hall, I had to watch HBO's Six Feet Under which I felt was brilliantly written and acted. I'm now looking forward to watching other HBO series.
What a perfect way to end a great series! the last sequence is AMAZING
Worth watching. Every episode held my attention. The series finale is quite unique and satisfying.
Now that I have watched the whole series I can now say it is one of the best series of all times. In episodes 10 and 12 I cried like a baby. A very satisfying end.
Best final season of any series. Also the best series finale. The featurette on the editing of the series was informative. All of the actors in top form, sizzling scripts, amazing cinematography, fantastic music and yes, they really went THERE!
The series finale is by far the best episode of television I have ever watched. The closing wrap- up montage is perfectly set to Sia's "Breathe Me", and really brings a great series to a respectable end.
Can make me laugh and cry at the same time. I just love this show! Big fan of Alan Ball (creator)
