When Mother Dorothy, Prioress of the convent high on the Cornish moors, inherits her godmother's estate, Sister Joan is suspicious. The death of the elderly woman appears to be linked with an apparent suicide and the disappearance of a child. Fear is prevalent among the residents of the convent, and within the local hospital. With the help of her friend Detective Sergeant Mill, Sister Joan sets out to trap a dangerous serial killer, and in the process discovers the true nature of compassion. 1998.
