Jim Butcher has reached full stride with his Dresden series and Small Favor displays all the elements that make the series hugely entertaining; an understated title, good mystery, balanced blend of the occult and real world, truly evil bad guys/gals, strong friendships and human weaknesses among the good guys/gals, and Dresden’s decency and wise-cracking ways. It even foreshadows the action in Turn Coat. The humour is ever present as not only does Dresden have to fight truly evil demons but he also has to battle the Billy Goats Gruff. Small Favor is a top notch entry in a fun series.

Dresden books are witty, engaging, and never fail to give you a good page-turner. Reading these books if you're familiar with mythology is especially interesting, seeing a new take on something so classic.

Another one of Butcher's fast-paced, hilarious, and action-packed masterpiece. Highly recommended for any reader that's looking for an automatic page-turner.

I enjoy all of the Dresden novels - dripping with sarcasm and usually a book that I find time to read.

This latest Dresden Files novel is one of the best in the series. Harry finds himself reluctantly involved in a return engagement with the deadliest antagonists he's ever faced, while fighting off the Summer Court's hit-gruffs and experiencing new and unplained powers.
