We gain more insight into Brunetti's family relationships. There is more of a moral/ethical struggle in this book rather than the usual violent crime scenario. An enjoyable read.

This tale in the Commissario Brunetti series poses many ethical and moral dilemmas for Brunetti and his family and provides much food for thought as well as the usual excellent detective story and fascinating insights into life in modern day Venice.
