I need to learn a little more about electricity before I dare to get my hands on my car's electrical system. Although the book starts with the basics, and maybe going through the book may give me an understanding of vehicles' electrical systems, it helped me to realize that I know very little about it and that there is no 1-2-3 fix for
what I want to fix in my car (front panel, a possible short in the lighter's circuit, and my front light not working despite changing the bulb. It's worth paying someone who knows what they're doing.
