'Chasing a Mirage' is an extremely valuable contribution to the fight by progressive Muslims against Islamist fascism. This book should be required reading for the Left in the West who have mistakenly started believing that Islamists represent some sort of anti-imperialism.

Fantastic !!! Eye opener, not so about ideology of Islam but mostly about history and facts of nations under islamic rulers, really helping to understand present time and its connection to the past.I recommend it to anybody who wants to know answers to: why ? and where it
comes from ? about present situation in the world....

Absolutely fantastic book! Great insight, and a good balance between history and analysis. A must for anyone interested in Islam, be they Muslim or non-Muslim.
