One of the "nicest" tellings of the Tarzan story I've seen. There's just enough darkness to set the appropriate tone for both children and adults alike, without being too scary for the little ones. Lots of good lessons can be taken from this entertaining movie.

Featuring a lean, athletic and very likable Tarzan character, this first-rate, animated, Disney film tells the entertaining story of a dauntless and devoted hero who strives to be accepted amongst the gorillas of the jungle where danger lurks, for one and all, just beyond every tree.

As Tarzan enthusiastically bellows out his famous "call-of-the-jungle", join our loin-clothed protagonist in this ripping, good tale of adventure in the wild that wraps up nicely with the happiest of "happy endings" where, yes-indeed, Tarzan finds himself the perfect mate.

Yes. Tarzan is definitely one of the most entertaining, animated, feature films that I've seen in a long-long time.

A lot of this film's overall charm and appeal came from the fact that its title character (Tarzan) was such a likeable and endearing kind of guy. And when Tarzan turned hero (which happened more than once) I was cheering for him all the way.

Containing lots of fast-paced action, this first-rate adventure story of courage & loyalty didn't miss a single beat for the entire duration of its 90-minute running time.

I found that even the Phil Collins' songs that punctuated Tarzan's story blended in nicely with the general mood and flow of this delightful tale from 1999.

From its dramatic opening sequence, to its jubilant, high-five finale, Disney's "Tarzan" is, without question, a very entertaining re-telling of Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic tale of a helpless, human baby reared to adulthood, in the jungle, by a band of gorillas.

Featuring some excellent action sequences (mixed generously with moments of slapstick comedy and the excitement of adventure), 1999's "Tarzan" certainly turned out to be a mighty fine example of first-rate story-telling that actually tugged on this viewer's heartstrings, occasionally.

In this animated feature film, the lean and athletic Tarzan (as the story's dauntless hero) comes across as being a truly likable and endearing character.

Punctuated by songs (which seemed a bit out of place) from pop star, Phil Collins, "Tarzan" is still a delightful movie-experience that can easily be enjoyed by all ages, young and old.

The Disneyfication of Edgar Rice
Burroughs. If you've ever read the books you'll be annoyed, but novices may find parts amusing.

Tarzan is an old story about a dude raised by gorillas. In 1999 Disney amplifies the entertainment value with a bad guy & love interest. All I can say is that it's an entertaining movie about exploitation, friendship & allegiance. It also features some of the best tree-limb surfing I've ever seen. I want Tarzan's feet! Phil Collins is featured as the soundtrack provider.

I didn't realize how spectacular the animation was until I gave it another watch, it's awesome! A little different from your usual Disney movies. The music is great as well.

What I want to know is, why is there only one copy?

This movie had some funny parts but overall was pretty average. Good for younger children...

The Last Truly Great Movie, Of A Truly Great Era For Disney! Too Bad, So Sad! Please, Disney, Start Making Good Movies Again- We've Had Enough Of Your Slumps! Start Making More Movies Like "Princess And The Frog" And "Tangled". I'm Convinced That Those Two Could Really Make A 2nd Disney Renniasance!
