See how the superrich succeed, how fortunes are made in various industries, and how, once made, they are saved, enhanced, and sometimes squandered. From Wall Street to the West Coast, from blue-collar billionaires to blue-blood fortunes, from the Google guys to hedge fund honchos, All the Money in the World gives us the lowdown on, among other things: the all-time richest Americans, who made and lost the most money in the past twenty-five years, the fields and industries that have produced the greatest wealth, the biggest risk takers, the most competitive players, the most wasteful family feuds, the trophy wives, the most conspicuous consumers, the biggest art collectors, the most and least generous philanthropists.

This book is based entirely on a completely flawed premise: that the Forbes Richest 400 is valid! Utter nonsense! Forbes, when it publishes this list, always issues the disclaimer that their data was compiled from PUBLIC SOURCES - - and the great difficulty in ascertaining who the super-rich are, is that their wealth and ownership remains hidden in PRIVATE SOURCES - - be it offshore finance centers, offshore holding companies and trusts, or inshore foundations and trusts, et cetera. [Historical note: "The idea of the Forbes 400 comes from the famous list of elites conceived by the Mrs. Astor.." states the Library Journal review correctly. Mr. Astor, unfortunately, went down with the Tiltanic, which the Morgans and Rockefellers were also supposed to go on, but canceled at the last minute. The Titanic was owned by the International Mercantile Marine Company - - majority owner, Morgan, minority owner, Rockefeller. My oh my, but what a coincidence!]
