I highly recommend this book, though not to those who are easily upset. This is a truly chilling novel, no pun intended. The descriptions of madness and internal turmoil were beautifully written, and I became noticeably more and more frightened after every chapter. The only complaint is the use of imaginary teen magazine surveys and postcards, which were distracting. Overall, beautifully written and extremely gripping.
