I am not a fan of this book. It is about a duck that is saying he does not want to be tickled, then the readers are encouraged to tickle him.
I would say the only way to read this book to children is to instruct them not to tickle the duck until the end when he says he does want to be tickled. Then, it is a good lesson on giving consent and that duck is in charge of his body, children can listen to duck's words and not tickle him until he says it's okay.

One of my favourite books to read to a group of 2-5 year olds. They love Duck and we all take turns tickling him. I love it when their eyes go wide and all their little hands reach out for the book.

All my kids liked this book. Simple read, textured spot to tickle.

If you want to have a little fun, read this book aloud with your kids. Not only is the cranky duck''s tummy made for tickling, his laughter is contagious. Each page provides a new opportunity for you to tickle him on the foot or under the arm as well as the tummy in a way that leads to more giggles. And his expressions are hilarious! Great for sharing!
