This is not one of Deutermann's best works. Its over-complex, with a plot that is scarcely believable, and a conclusion that requires you to suspend credulity. The "conclusion" is dragged out for nearly a third of the book. The main protagonist leaves you with the feeling that he is reckless to the point of stupidity.
