In this supernatural thriller, freelance exorcist Felix Castor gets a seemingly insignificant "missing ghost" case that inexorably drags himself and his loved ones into the middle of a horrific plot to raise one of Hell's fiercest demons. When Satanists, sacrifice farms, stolen spirits and possessed churches all appear on the same police report, the name of Felix Castor can't be too far behind.

This series begins with "The Devil You Know." "Vicious Circle" is the second book. Mike Carey is more known for his contributions to the longest running comic series in the world--"Hellblazer," which Constantine is allegedly based off of, sharing little more than a protagonist of the same name--and another multiple Eisner award winning comic series "Lucifer." The latter was purely written by Mike Carey and is quite exemplary. Definitely worth the effort to read. Same goes for the Felix Castor series and his runs on Hellblazer.

Written by a contributor/creator of the movie "Constantine" this series begins with "Vicious Circle" and is one of my favorites. Takes place in London with an entire world created with creepy, violent and mythical creatures. Amazing writing and unpredicatable twists. Highly recommended!

I love Carey's moral musings in the midst of insane, impossible action
