Awesome read .. think Jack Reacher in the 31st century! Action all the way! Some witty & smart arse writing, very entertaining.

Loved this book from beginning to end. Some interesting aliens and and intriguing societal backgrounds; gritty and believable military situations, conniving political machinations; what more could you want?

A good military sci/fi entry. Full of action and interesting characters. Only detraction, are some improbable plot interjections ..... ie
: Why would a random planet have bats with guano? Not "bat like" creatures, but bays!
The hero happens to find a seemingly one of a kind intelligent weapon, fairly randomly. He is fighting at the time with the elite fighting force, and no one else has such a weapon.
Such problems aside, it is an enjoyable read, and the pages fly by.

Very violent, but hard to put down...
