The fourth graphic novel in the award-winning, all-ages series tells the story of new visitor to the forest. He may be misunderstood because of how he looks, but things aren't always what they seem, and everyone soon finds out that the power of friendship can fix just about anything. Relying on a mixture of symbols, icons and expressions to tell his silent stories, Andy Runton's clean, animated and heartwarming style makes it a perfect read for anyone who's a fan of Jeff Smith's Bone or Mike Kunkel's Herobear and the Kid. Already winning fans around the world, Owly is not to be missed.

Excellent graphic novel series for beginner readers. My first grader couldn't get enough of the Owly books.

Deceptively simple, but touching and deep. A must read. Owly is innocent, kind, and brave. He must help Wormy face is fears and reach out to those in need. :)

For ages 6-8. Follow the adventures of a gentle owl named Owly who resolves to do good and make friends in his world with the help of his companions.

Probably one of the most charming and relaxing comics I've read! To me it's like the Peanuts comics but with no words whatsoever! Good read (or ''eye-read''.. not sure what to call this, since there's no words but just symbols that Owly communicates with).. The art is very nice and cartoony and I think it works well in black-and-white.. If you're looking for a relaxing comic to read at night, then this is a good choice :)

I like how he didn't feel very well and then he felt better. I wish it had words.

All the owly books are good at stressing that one should not judge another just because of their "species". An owl can be kind even to its prey, a worm can be brave, etc. Mistakes are often made from this judgment, but if you throw away those misunderstandings you can have many friends like Owly does.

The expressions in this volume are particularly good.
