Enjoyable from start to finish. Better than its predecessor, After the Thin Man brings back the detective duo of Nick and Nora Charles, now with a murder mystery involving Nora's family. With an intriguing cast of suspects, an easier plot to follow, and an interesting finale, After the Thin Man is one of the best sequels ever made.

I don't like classic movies to be ignored. "After the Thin Man" is one of the series of former detective Nick Charles and his wife Nora. Played by William Powell and Myrna Loy, this handsome couple have solved many a movie whodunit. This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the original "Thin Man" movie. That sparked more movies and since then millions of people have viewed the films. KCLS has only one copy of "After the Thin Man". It is a lonely copy because their are 0 patrons who are requesting to see it. The film may be old, but it is a classic which will always be funny. I cannot recommend them to you more highly. Remember this is one of the few pictures that make a star out of a dog named Astor. See if she doesn't capture your heart.

The typical amusing repartee from Powell, Loy, and the crowd, but possibly a little too cute in comparison to the other "Thin Man" films.

Never been a big fan of mysteries where they round up all the characters to have the final 'big reveal' (works much better in the first movie), but the dialouge is sharply superb and the on-screan chemestry between Nick and Nora and likeability of these two characters makes me wish the movie franchises of today would try a little harder.

Just as great as the first one, this picks up where it left off. Nora is put upon by her relatives almost as soon as they arrive home from their "vacation" in New York and find that poor cousin Selma is missing a husband and the ex-fiance is just as concerned as she is. But what about the gardener, or the blackmail victim, or the cute piece the husband has been seeing. Hmmm. Nick soon has a mystery on his hands when he doesn't have a drink in them! Best line - "You wouldn't know them, dear, they're respectable."
